Douglas County PUD Commissioners Lynn Heminger, Ron Skagen and Jim Davis executed the following actions during the October 20, 2008 Commission meeting held at the East Wenatchee Headquarters office:
Opened bids under bid document 08-48-D, 13th Street storage yard. The apparent low bid was received from Pipkin Construction of East Wenatchee. The bids will be evaluated prior to a recommendation for contract award.
Awarded HD Supply Utilities LTD., of Portland, contract 08-26-D, overhead conductor South Nile to Rapids 115kV transmission line. HD Supply, with a bid price of $166,968 (General Cable), was the lowest responsive bidder. (08-263)
Awarded General Pacific, Inc., of Portland, contract 08-43-D, composite insulators South Nile to Rapids 115kV transmission line. General Pacific, with a bid price of $74,084 (Sediver), was the lowest responsive bidder. (08-264)
Authorized execution of agreement with Wenatchee Reclamation District for 38th Street NW canal crossing. (08-265)
Awarded KVA Electric, Inc. of Arlington, WA, contract 08-47-W, moving and storing transformer insulating oil. KVA Electric, with a bid price of $130,000, was the lowest responsive bidder. (08-266)
Authorized an agreement for professional services with GeoEngineers with regard to relicensing the Wells Hydroelectric Project. The scope of services under this agreement includes providing on-call Geographic Information System (GIS) mapping support, geologic and geotechnical services for relicensing studies and license application documents at a cost not to exceed $80,000. Changed location of two Commission Meetings in December. The December 8, 2008 meeting will be held at the District’s East Wenatchee Headquarters office at 2:00 p.m. The December 15, 2008 meeting will be held at the District’s Bridgeport office at 1:30 p.m.
The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. October 27, 2008 at the District’s East Wenatchee Headquarters office.
