Douglas County PUD Commissioners Lynn Heminger, Ron Skagen and Jim Davis executed the following actions during the October 27, 2008 Commission meeting held at the East Wenatchee Headquarters office:
Approved change order No. 2 to contract 07-15-D, communication splicing crew with Beckstead Electric, Inc. This change order increases the not to exceed limit $160,000. The increase is necessary due to increased demand for connections to the Douglas County Community Network. (08-268)
Approved the acceptance of all work performed by Robinson Brothers Construction, Inc. working under contract 07-24-D, Sun Cove communication distribution system installation. All work under the contract has been completed and determined to meet the bid specifications. (08-269)
Awarded Pipkin Construction of East Wenatchee, contract 08-48-D, 13th Street storage yard. Pipkin, with a bid price of $206,150, was the lowest responsive bidder. (08-270)
Authorized video transport agreements with television networks. These agreements are required by most networks to receive and transport the signal over the Douglas County Community Network. (08-271)
Approved addendum No. 1 to bid document 08-46-W, headquarters building interiors 2008. The pre-bid walk through with potential bidders revealed necessary revisions and clarifications to the bid document. (08-272)
Authorized the renewal of Aircraft Non-ownership Liability Coverage with Arch Insurance for the premium of $7,510. (08-273)
Authorized purchase of property insurance coverage with Starr Technical Risks Agency, Inc and Zurich American Insurance Company for a total premium of $476,422. (08-274)
Adopted a Strategic Plan for the District. The Strategic plan outlines the District’s Mission, Value and Planning statements. (08-275)
The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. November 3, 2008 at the District’s East Wenatchee Headquarters office.
