Douglas County PUD Commissioners Mike Doneen and Jim Davis executed the following actions during the October 9, 2006 Commission meeting held at the Bridgeport Headquarters building:
Awarded the contract for Pangborn 115/13.2 kV Substation Transformers to WEG Electric Motors Corp. of Suwanee, Georgia. The total contract price is $2,088,600.
Authorized creation of a new position titled Community Network Specialist.
Authorized Change Order No. 1 to a contract with Hale and Long General Contractors for recreational facilities improvements at Memorial Park in Pateros and Marina Park in Bridgeport. The changes involve additional lights, a bench and revisions to the irrigation system. After this $6,372 change the total contract amount is $280,672.
Authorized the annual renewal for public officials liability insurance with Associated Electric & Gas Insurance Services Limited. The cost of renewal for the $5 million policy is $58,914.
The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. October 16, 2006 at the District’s East Wenatchee Headquarters building.
