Douglas County PUD Commissioners Jim Davis and Lynn Heminger executed the following actions during the September 5, 2006 Commission meeting held at the East Wenatchee Headquarters building:
No bids were received for bid document 06-31-D, communication conduit.
Authorized revision to the line extension procedure for Rimrock Meadows and Badger Mountain Subdivisions. The revision clarifies who will contribute to the original line extension. (06-211)
Approved a call for bids under bid document 06-37-D, Pangborn 115/13.2 kV substation transformers. These transformers are necessary for converting the 115 kV transmission voltage to 13.2 kV distribution voltage. (06-212)
Authorized a change order to contract 06-33-W, with American Civil Constructors to provide tailrace and forebay debris removal for the Wells Hydroelectric Project. This change authorizes disposal of forebay debris to Carpenter Island. (06-213)
Approved the continuance of the agreement with U.S. Geological Survey, Water Resources Division, United States Department of the Interior relative to river-gaging station maintenance and operation costs. The cost of the contract is not to exceed $17,240 for the maintenance of river gages at the Wells Project and $9,450 to maintain other river gages located on the Methow and Columbia Rivers. (06-214)
Authorized Jacobs Civil, Inc. as consulting engineer for the Wells Hydroelectric Project. In order to maintain proper maintenance of the Wells Hydroelectric Project, the District needs to retain a consulting engineer for providing immediate and continuous engineering counsel. (06-215)
Approved negotiation of an agreement for professional architectural services with USKH of Spokane for a warehouse and fabrication shop at the Wells Hydroelectric Project. (06-216)
Approved land use permit 825-01 for Wells Tract 825. This permit will allow landscaping, a picnic area and an access road on District property. (06-217)
