GENERAL INFORMATION: The successful candidate should possess a Bachelor of Science degree in electronic or electrical engineering. Candidates should be able to demonstrate skill in working with computer systems, Microsoft Windows based software, telemetry and SCADA networks. Knowledge of networking concepts and technologies (e.g., OSI model, SONET, TCP/IP, 802.1x) will be considered in the selection for this position. Applicants should have supervisory skills and experience and be able to clearly communicate verbally and in writing. A current Washington State Driver’s License is a requirement for this position.
The Control Systems Engineer will work under the supervision of the Wells Department Chief Engineer. Duties will include engineering responsibilities for maintenance of various systems including the District’s power supply Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system, telemetry and telecommunications, including fiber-optic networks. Duties will also include supervision of technicians and the administration of contractor services.
This is an administrative position and is, therefore, not subject to any of the conditions contained in the Collective Bargaining Agreement other than those benefits that apply to all employees.
